Emory at Grady Awards

The Emory at Grady Above and Beyond Award recognizes a faculty member whose performance goes beyond the expectation of their position and advances the mission and vision of the School of Medicine.

The Emory at Grady Advocacy Award recognizes a faculty member’s significant contribution in the field of advocacy. Advocacy is defined as seeking structural and policy change on behalf of patients, learners, and communities in ways that promote health equity, advance medical education, and/ or improve patient care and outcomes.

The Emory at Grady Best Colleague Award recognizes a faculty member who shows support of their colleagues and can always be counted on to be available to help their colleagues. This award recognizes devoted faculty who may receive fewer official recognitions and kudos than their colleagues, but whose contributions have truly made a difference and deserve acknowledgement.

The Emory at Grady Career Impact Award recognizes a faculty member whose dedication to the mission of Grady Health System has been evident over a long period of time.

The Emory at Grady Innovation Award recognizes faculty whose innovation in research, education, service, quality, or leadership has made a major impact at Grady. This award identifies and recognizes faculty that have used creativity and innovation to improve patient care or trainee education by implementing new technology/ procedures, making significant scientific discoveries, creating new operational processes or pioneering new educational programs.

The Emory at Grady Excellence in Health Equity Research Award recognizes faculty who engage in innovative research that improves outcomes and equity for historically vulnerable populations. 

The Emory at Grady Team-Based Award recognizes teams (of at least 3-4 members) of faculty and/or staff committed to a common purpose or goal toward advancing the mission and vision of the Emory School of Medicine.
