Emory Health Digest Building surgical capacity in Guatemala

The Department of Surgery's Emory Global Perioperative Alliance provides essential surgical care to patients in underresourced regions of Guatemala, with medical students serving as trip leads and Surgery faculty physician advisors. The alliance is currently building surgical capacity in the state of Huehuetenango.
