Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine

The School of Medicine Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development accepts applications for the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine® (ELAM)  offered by the Drexel University College of Medicine annually in early fall.

Established in 1995, ELAM began as a prestigious national leadership fellowship for women which aimed to increase and sustain the number and impact of women in leadership positions in the health sciences. As of 2025, the program has more than 1,600 alumni (ELUMs) in high-level leadership positions (provosts, deans, chief officers, chairs, etc.) at 300 health institutions around the country.

To leverage the success of the ELAM program for the benefit of everyone, the ELAM program began accepting all qualified individuals in the spring of 2025, regardless of gender.

Please note, faculty titles are accurate as of the date of participation in the program.
