The Division of Pulmonary Medicine provides comprehensive care to patients from newborn to 21 years of age with disorders of the respiratory system. We offer state-of-the-art clinical services and the latest breakthroughs in treatment.
The Pulmonary Medicine team provides both inpatient consultative services at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta's Egleston Hospital and outpatient services at the Children’s Physician Group and the Cystic Fibrosis Center. The Pulmonary, Sleep, and Cystic Fibrosis clinics see patients at the Cystic Fibrosis Center. Allergy and Immunology clinics see patients at Children’s Physician Group.
Our clinical team members work in tandem with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, our affiliated pediatric hospital system. Together we provide comprehensive compassionate care to our families, offer state of the art clinical services, and the latest breakthroughs in treatment. Our physicians and nurses are involved in clinical studies designed to unravel the mechanisms of the children's lung disease. Ongoing studies include the mechanisms and treatment of asthma, gastroesophageal reflux, effects of air pollution exposure, and the impact of chronic aspiration on the developing lung.
Our scientific research faculty
Our pulmonologists are also active health advocates for the children in metro Atlanta, Georgia, and beyond. Outreach programs for asthma care have become a valued community resource, including the asthma care provided to children at our Hughes Spalding campus.
