Dr. Tonia Poteat to Lecture at Emory Emory PA Program alum returns to campus for lectures, workshop

Dr. Tonia Poteat is a Professor in the Duke University School of Nursing, Co-Director of the Duke Sexual and Gender Minority Wellness Program, and Associate Director of the Duke Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Developmental Core.ove.

Dr. Susana Alfonso will serve on ARC-PA She was nominated by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Alfonso will serve as a commissioner and site visitor for a 3-year term on the ARC-PA, the US national accrediting body for PA programs. She is one of two national liaisons to the ARC-PA from the AAFP.

Program alum Taylor Hayes joins faculty Hayes graduated in 2020 with a PA/MPH dual degree

Ms. Hayes currently serves as APP in Transplant Infectious Diseases at EUH. She is passionate about enhancing clinical experiences for APP learners and advocating for APPs joint pursuit of clinical and non-clinical healthcare avenues.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 26.5% employment growth for physician assistants between 2022 and 2032. In that period, an estimated 39,300 jobs should open up. Overall metrics include work/life balance, job safety and stability, wage potential, and future prospects.
