The Emory Experience
The Emory Physician Assistant Program is one of the oldest PA programs in the nation, having recently celebrated its 50th year. With intense, hands-on student training and a distinctive emphasis on providing culturally sensitive care to medically underserved communities, Emory is at the forefront of preparing PA students for an increasingly demanding and complex world.
Applicants who have served their communities or their countries through volunteer activities, military service, employment opportunities or service-oriented programs greatly enhance the cultural perspective of the class. The Emory PA Program values a wide range of backgrounds and experience in the health care field.
Accreditation
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued Status to the Emory University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Emory University. Accreditation-Continued Status is granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the ARC-PA Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2033. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA Policy.
The program’s accreditation history can be viewed on the ARC-PA website.
