Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center

More than 300 School of Medicine faculty and residents care for patients at the Atlanta VAMC, continuing a partnership that dates back to 1946. With a multidisciplinary research program that receives roughly $25M in annual funding from VA, NIH, DoD, and other sources, this hospital has become one of the nation's most successful centers for research to improve care for veterans.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

Our faculty provide specialized care for patients, conduct basic and translational research, and teach residents and fellows at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the largest pediatric health care systems in the country. Children's patients come from every county in Georgia, with illnesses ranging from common childhood disorders to the highest acuity conditions.

Emory Healthcare

Emory Healthcare is the most comprehensive health system in Georgia, with seven hospitals in metro Atlanta, 23 regional affiliate hospitals, outpatient locations in 24 counties, more than 2,000 physician providers, and more than 600,000 unique patients a year.

Grady Memorial Hospital

Grady Hospital is a publicly-owned, safety-net facility with one of Atlanta's two Level 1 trauma centers. Approximately 80% of the physicians caring for patients at Grady are Emory School of Medicine faculty, with the remaining physicians on faculty at Morehouse School of Medicine or employed by Grady. Our doctors lead programs targeted especially to problems experienced disproportionately by indigent, underserved populations, including stroke, diabetes, sickle cell disease, cancer, high-risk pregnancy, burns, poison control, and infectious diseases, including HIV and tuberculosis.
