Well-known for many programs such as emergency medicine, Level I trauma, burn, stroke, sickle celldisease, infectious diseases and HIV, and the Level III NICU, Emory at Grady faculty and APPS provide various clinical services.  

Emory at Grady education strives to train physicians who will improve health care in Georgia, the U.S. and internationally by ensuring our learners develop into inquisitive, scientifically oriented, board-certified physicians and leaders.

In conjunction with the SOM Office of Faculty Academic Affairs and Professional Development, Emory at Grady professional development focuses on providing career development and building community and collaboration among Emory faculty and staff on the Grady campus.

Emory at Grady's research programs strive to elevate the research of our faculty by facilitating improvements, providing resources and promoting research highlights. 

The Emory at Grady Flourishing Program promotes well-being, resilience and a sense of belonging and community. 

Grady History

On June 2, 1892, Grady Hospital opened its doors with 100 beds and 18 employees. In 1915, it became the first teaching hospital for Emory University School of Medicine.
