Post-Doctoral Fellow
Akanksha Sharma is a post-doctoral fellow focused on research projects related to machine learning applications for diagnostic and prognostic purposes. Specific projects include future hamstring injury detection using MRI scans, female genital schistosomiasis detection using colonoscopy images, and endometrial cancer detection using ultrasound images.
Prior to joining the Madabhushi Lab, Dr. Sharma served as principal engineer of integration and yield (data analytics) at GlobalFoundries in Karnataka, India.
She earned a PhD in biomedical signal processing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India and a master of technology degree in robotics from Indian Institute of Technology Allahabad.
