Director of Research
Ujjwal Baid is the director of research for the lab who brings more than eight years of collaborative research experience in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision. Dr. Baid currently oversees projects related to brain tumor segmentation and radiomic anaylsis, federated learning, and computational pathology.
He is passionate about leveraging advanced artificial intelligence algorithms to unravel complex problems in clinical applications, and has presented at various top-tier conferences like MICCAI, ISBI, CVPR, and ECDP by developing algorithms for segmentation, and classification tasks on radiology, histopathology, and natural images.
Prior to joining the Madabhushi Lab, Dr. Baid served as an assistant professor (research) at Indiana University, Indianapolis, IN. After earning his PhD, he completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA.
