Emory University's Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences manages a staff of over 1,000 professionals, including approximately 150 physicians and nearly 20 dedicated research scientists. Imaging equipment is located across the Emory Healthcare enterprise, which includes Emory University Hospital, various locations of The Emory Clinic, Winship Cancer Institute, a National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, and affiliates such as Grady Memorial Hospital and the Atlanta VA Medical Center.

The Department of Radiology is fortunate to have a great range of state-of-the-art imaging equipment including two dual-head CT units, an interventional MRI suite, three tomosynthesis mammography units, and a time-of-flight PET/CT.

Dedicated research instruments include a high-resolution research tomography PET scanner, 3T MR imagers, optical imaging platform, interventional x-ray suite, and several animal imaging units.
