Medical Toxicology Teaching
Fellows have ample opportunity to participate in teaching activities and refine their teaching skills. After participating in our numerous training courses, fellows subsequently become instructors for some of the courses such as:
- AHLS
- Radiological Preparedness and Emergency Response
- PrOUD
- Nuclear Plant Emergency Response
Furthermore, fellows are frequently invited to give lectures on core content material to other residency programs:
- Emory Emergency Medicine
- Emory Internal medicine-psychiatry
- Emory Pediatric emergency medicine programs
- Emory and Morehouse Critical Care Fellowships
- Mozambique Emergency Medicine
Fellows have delivered lectures at several regional meetings including the Coastal Emergency Medicine Conference and the Georgia College of Emergency Physicians Rural Emergency Medicine Conference.
Georgia Occupational and Environmental Toxicology Clinic
- Evaluates patients on a weekly basis
- Only Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics (AOEC) affiliated toxicology clinic in the Southeastern United States
