About Me
I was born in San Francisco and shortly after moved to Zambia for a year before my mom's work took her to Birmingjham, Alabama and later Atlanta, where I have been since I was about 10. I always had a fascination with nature and wildlife, which ultimately transformed into an interest in medicine when I worked as an EMT in college. I went to Emory for both medical school and residency, when I met my fiancée Katie while she was at Emory Law. Ultimately, Emory's strong toxicology program and wonderful faculty led me to stay here for another two years!

Why Emory EM Med Tox?
Despite living in Atlanta since I was 10, I have never grown tired of it nor found somewhere I would rather be. Emory's med tox program has a fantastic addiction medicine component in addition to its tremendous variety of experiences including clinic, in person rounding, and taking calls at the poison center. I am also greatly looking forward to learning from and working alongside international and PharmD fellows.
Five-year Plan
To continue working in academic medicine both in emergency medicine and toxicology. I love teaching residents and students at the bedside and would love to keep doing so! Hopefully, I can tie clinical work in addiction medicine into my career as well.
