About Me
I was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, and ultimately stayed to attend Duke University for my undergraduate studies. There, I received a B.S. in biology with a concentration in animal behavior, and double minored in chemistry and French. I spent a year in genetics research prior to attending medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. I moved to Atlanta for my residency with Emory Emergency Medicine, and am thrilled to be staying to complete a fellowship in Medical Toxicology.

Why Emory EM Med Tox?
Between the large Poison Center and multiple busy hospital systems, Emory provides a high-volume and high-acuity program with a phenomenal group of attendings to learn from. I knew I would become well trained in all aspects of medical toxicology, from research and clinical practice to public health and addiction medicine, in addition to the management of envenomations and botanical poisonings that drew me to the field in the first place.
Five-year Plan
In 5 years, I hope to be splitting my time between emergency medicine and practicing medical toxicology. I love teaching, so I intend to stay academic and focus some of my time in both fields working with medical students and residents.
