Financial Wellness

Here are a number of resources to help you learn strategies for better financial wellness

Intellectual Wellness

Exercise your mental abilities, open yourself to experience, and tap into your creative side both at work and in your personal life in order to enhance your wellness. Some physicians tap into their creative sides to express their experiences with burnout and to find ways to cope with stress. See how at:

Spiritual Wellness

Spiritual wellness is an integral component of our overall wellness. Social and Cultural Wellness

The Office of Multicultural Affairs provides diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) services and programs to all learners in the School of Medicine. Amongst the services we provide are educational workshops and events related to Implicit Bias, Bystander to Upstander response to microaggressions, cultural humility and social determinants of health, and anti-racism, cultural and social events, and supporting affinity groups for residents and fellows such as GME Pride and GME Trainee DEI Taskforce. Check out other educational resources, SOM affinity groups, and ways to report bias or discrimination on the SOM's Office of Equity and Inclusion website. We also provide opportunities for trainees to “give back” to students all along the pipeline.

We have partnered with FSAP to respond to racial turmoil in the community, provide listening sessions, and plan to continue to partner to marry issues of inclusion and wellness for trainees to ensure that everyone at Emory feels included, accepted, and valued across all of their intersectional identities.

Environmental Wellness

While there are many definitions of environmental wellness, according to SAMHSA, it can include:

  • “Accessing clean food, air, and water;
  • Preserving the areas where we live, learn, and work;
  • Occupying pleasant, stimulating environments that support our well-being; and
  • Promoting learning, contemplation, and relaxation in natural places and spaces.”

Think about what you can do to enhance your environmental wellness, even in small ways.
