Admission specific info:

Emory Patient Resources

All admitted patients are tested, regardless of vaccination status or symptoms.
Patients with a planned admission after a procedure may be tested before admission.
PCR tests are used, both rapid and standard options are available
Patients are now able to get a vaccine while inpatient!

Visitor policy: All bedded inpatients may have two visitors inside the facility at a time. One visitor is permitted in the emergency department. One visitor is permitted in outpatient clinics.

Grady Patient Resources

Visitor policy: All hospitalized patients may have two visitors inside the facility at a time (no visitor under age 12). In the Emergency Department: Two visitors inside the facility at a time (no visitors under age 12). For Outpatient Appointments: One visitor of any age is welcome to accompany a patient to the appointment.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Patient Resources

Visitor policy: Hospitalized patients: two caregivers with 24 hour access; two additional visitors (no swap outs) during daylight only; only two visitors (caregiver and/or daylight visitor) at a time. Outpatient clinics: two caregivers may attend; no siblings.

Procedure specific info:

Emory Patient Resources

Inpatient: All must get a PCR COVID test within 72 hrs prior to procedure
Outpatient, asymptomatic & vaccinated (2 weeks post final dose): No pre-procedure test needed, monitor for symptoms
Outpatient, unvaccinated: COVID test required 48-72 hrs prior to procedure then quarantine, contact provider if symptoms develop

Vistor policy: One visitor throughout the procedural visit.

Surgical protocols: COVID test required for all within 4 days of procedure, inpatient must have (-) test within 7 days
Visitor policy: One visit allowed for procedural visits (still two allowed if hospitalized post-op).
