Dr. Axente is a member of Emory School of Medicine's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Racial Advocacy Thread's Faculty Advisory Committee.

Richard Castillo, PhD, DABR, FAAPM

Dr. Castillo is the vice chair of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine's (AAPM) Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee and chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Subcommittee. He is also the AAPM member representative to the American Institute of Physics' Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility Strategic Framework Work Group.

As of October 2024, he serves as assistant dean of equity, engagement and belonging in the School of Medicine's Office of Equity and Inclusion, driving progress in the office's strategic priorities, primarily growing the innovation and discovery portfolio.
