Meet our Spring 2025 cohort

Morgan Brister, DNP
"I completed my undergraduate degree at Boston College before returning to my hometown of Atlanta to earn my Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Emory University. I’m passionate about staying active, whether it’s playing pickleball, learning tennis, or running. I was excited to complete my first marathon last November in New York. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my two nieces and nephew, my fiancé, and my friends. I also love spending time with my black lab mutt, Murphy, taking him on walks and hikes. I’m excited to join the Winship community and look forward to contributing to the incredible work being done here."

Sara Stewart, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-BC, OCN
"Before completing my MSN at Emory’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, I accumulated 12+ years of oncology nursing experience in the areas of solid tumor treatment and management as well as navigating psychosocial barriers to care and patient education. I am passionate about the patient experience and have worked within my organizations to create patient support programs, to advocate for patients facing financial toxicity, and to help patients access clinical trials and treatments. I received the 2017 Crump Award for Oncology Nursing, was one of twelve nurses from around the country chosen to participate in the first cohort of Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s Survivorship Series training in 2018, presented my work on a peer support program for breast cancer patients at the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Congress in 2017 for and am currently president for the local ONS chapter. I love nature photography, reading, traveling, playing board games and spending time with my daughter, husband and sweet 12-year-old tabby cat."
