Gari Clifford, DPhil Chair, Dept. Biomedical Informatics

Dr. Clifford is Professor and Chair of Biomedical Informatics. Dr. Clifford guides the Emory RTA team in developing novel solutions for operations and research requirements.

Timothy G. Buchman, PhD, MD Director, Emory eICU

Dr. Buchman leads the Emory Research Informatics Analytics group and advises the Emory RTA Team of clinical and clinical trials requirements.

Tony Pan, PhD Associate Professor, Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, SOM

Dr. Pan’s research interests focus around developing data science methods to enable large scale biomedical and bioinformatic studies, through flexible and extensible data management, high performance computing (HPC) approaches, and efficient sequential and parallel algorithms, particularly for image, genomic, and transcriptomic data analyses.

Reza Sameni, PhD Associate Professor, Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, SOM

Dr. Sameni's research interests include statistical signal processing and machine learning, with a special interest in model-based machine learning. Dr. Sameni also has a track record of publications and extensive experience in developing algorithms, open-source software, and hardware for biomedical applications.

Barney Chan Sr. Data Analyst, Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, SOM

Barney specializes in Machine Learning (ML) Model implementation and clinical data extraction and aggregation for research study recruitment.

Nita Deshpande, PhD Scientist, Sr. Bioinformatics, Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, SOM

Dr. Deshpande is a full-stack developer with expertise in application software design and development in multi-tier systems. She leads the RTA Engineering team.

Dileep Gunda, MS Senior Software Developer, Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, SOM

His expertise is in design & implementation of backend systems with a focus on APIs and micro-services. In his spare time, he loves doing DIY home automation projects with IOT (Internet of Things) devices.

Venkatesh Javvaji, MS Senior Software Developer , Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, SOM

He is an experienced full stack developer with a demonstrated history of working in the software industry.

Chad Robichaux, MPH Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, SOM

He has over 15 years working with clinical data from a quality improvement or research perspective. He specializes in SQL, R, SAS, and finding the data that match clinician’s needs.

Megan Schwinne, MPH Sr. Data Analyst, Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, SOM

Megan specializes in clinical data extraction, advanced statistical analysis, and creating compelling visualizations. She is also proficient in developing machine learning features and evaluating models, bringing a comprehensive approach to data-driven solutions.

Robert Tweedy Departmental Computing Support Specialist, Dept. of Biomedical Informatics, SOM

Through his experience administrating the computer systems used in the BMI department, Robert maintains the Oracle APEX environment used by the RTA project and provides support to the application developers when they run into issues with the environment.

Archana Kudrimoti, MS Informatics Analyst OIT, Emory University

Experienced in software Design and Development for over 20 years. Working on Research/Quality projects for Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences also having in-depth knowledge of the database/queries in RTA.
