Division of Hospital Medicine

The Division of Hospital Medicine is the largest academic hospital medicine program in the nation. Our physicians and advanced practice providers care for hospitalized patients at eleven hospitals in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area.

With more than 300 physicians providing hospital medicine services at eleven hospitals in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area, Emory hospitalists account for more than 65,000 admissions a year, and total patient encounters exceed 450,000 annually.

Faculty Development and Education

The division is committed to career-long learning, peer teaching, and trainee teaching. We take pride in the professional development of our faculty and staff so that division members attain the highest possible quality of patient care and system improvements.

We offer mentorship programs, an awards program, a lecture series, and a dedicated committee to sponsor educational activities.
