HR and Staff Awards

This award recognizes a staff member who has displayed exceptional effort and made significant contributions in a role focused on basic science laboratory research. Examples of successful nominees would include staff members who have gone above and beyond the normal call of duty to positively impact research studies/trials, provide guidance to less experienced research staff, and support Principal Investigators/Study Sponsors. Eligibility: All regular full‐time or part‐time staff members who are employed in roles focused on basic science laboratory research (e.g. Research Specialists, Staff Scientists, Laboratory Research Supervisors).

This award recognizes a staff member who has displayed exceptional effort and made significant contributions in a role focused on clinical research. Examples of successful nominees would include staff members who have gone above and beyond the normal call of duty to positively impact clinical research studies/trials, provide guidance to less experienced clinical research staff, and support Principal Investigators/Study Sponsors. Eligibility: All regular full‐time or part‐time staff members who are employed in roles focused on clinical research (e.g. Clinical Research Nurses, Clinical Trials Regulatory Specialists, Epidemiologists, Clinical Research Coordinators, Clinical Research supervisors).

This award recognizes a staff member for his/her exemplary leadership accomplishments and contributions to the Department of Medicine, School of Medicine, and Emory University. Successful nominees are those who have led, served, inspired, and collaborated with broad-ranging impact beyond their regular responsibilities. Eligibility: All regular full‐time or part‐time staff members who are in leadership roles (i.e. supervise others) or have taken on a leadership role within a specific project/initiative.

This award recognizes a staff member employed by Emory Healthcare who has provided exceptional support for the Department of Medicine, collaborating with DOM faculty, staff, and learners to advance the missions of teaching, clinical service, and scholarship. Eligibility: All regular full‐time or part‐time staff members who are employed by Emory Healthcare or its affiliates.

This award recognizes a staff member who provides consistent and sustained excellence, exceptional performance, and service to the Division, Department of Medicine, and Emory University. The recipient demonstrates integrity, teamwork, productivity, and customer service. Eligibility: All regular full‐time or part‐time staff members who have been employed by the University for at least 5 years.

This award recognizes a newly-hired staff member for his/her excellent support and exceptional performance during the first year of employment. Successful nominees are those who have made significant contributions within their work teams, division, the Department, and/or the School of Medicine despite being employed within the Department of Medicine for one year or less. Eligibility: All regular full‐time or part‐time staff members who began working within the Department of Medicine on or after June 1, 2024.

This award recognizes a staff member who goes above and beyond the routine call of duty. Successful nominees exhibit a high level of commitment, initiative, cooperation, and dedication in their job responsibilities. This staff member is both dependable and trustworthy, instills in his/her coworkers a sense of responsibility and dedication to the University, and exemplifies excellence and integrity in workplace relationships, interactions, and decisions. Eligibility: All regular full‐time or part‐time staff members.
