Welcome to the Emory Department of Family and Preventive Medicine! I’m proud to serve as Chair for a department uniquely qualified to provide comprehensive team-based primary care services, interdisciplinary health professional education, and community-based research in the metro Atlanta area.
We are proud of our positive trajectory as evidenced by:
- Our Physician Assistant program, ranked #4 in 2023, has been consistently ranked in the top 5.
- Our Family Medicine Residency going from unranked to #18 in 2022.
- Our Family Medicine residency training program expanded from 24 to 30 trainees.
- The expansion of faculty Family Medicine practice to three sites.
- Our Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) support for tuition stipends and trainee salaries allowed our Preventive Medicine Residency Program to expand to a high of 7 trainees.
- Our Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship matching 8 trainees for 2023.
