Who’s eligible: Emory researchers and clinicians who meet funding criteria
If you’ve come up with a software, medical device or other invention – and seek to develop a prototype or test a concept – the Proof of Concept (POC) Fund can provides support.
The fund is managed and awarded by Emory OTT. To qualify, you must first:

Disclose your invention to Emory OTT;

Work with Emory OTT to address findings and issues in the report they provide you to evaluate your commercialization;

Demonstrate that prototype development or testing will help reduce risk, address challenges to patentability, or help attract further funding for development; and

Show a likelihood that POC funds will help achieve the desired outcome.
Typical awards range from $5,000 to $30,000.
