Students have been brought into the Accreditation and CQI process as key members. Two Student Curriculum Committee (SCC) students continue to serve on the new LCME Element Review Group. A minimum of 4 SCC students from all grade levels are assigned to every Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) group meeting. An MD program-wide call was made for non-SCC student participation, and this yielded 14 more non-SCC volunteers. These additional non-SCC students (up to 4) are assigned to CQI meetings based on their stated interests when volunteering. In addition to the students from the SCC, the EMBRACE group is also driving programmatic change through our internal CQI process.

- Individualized links will be emailed to students. All responses will be kept anonymous. While EMBRACE and school leadership are aiming for universal participation, we have set a goal of at least an 80% response rate for each class and for the overall student body, in alignment with LCME standards (our accrediting body). We’re excited to share that there will be a monetary incentive for participation! Students who complete the survey can enter to win one of twenty $50 gift cards (five winners per MD class). To enter the raffle, be sure to complete the survey in its entirety and submit the Microsoft Form for the drawing.
