Biography
Rachel is an MD-PhD student from Milton, GA, who graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a minor study in Biomedical Engineering. At Georgia Tech, she conducted research in Dr. Julie Champion’s laboratory, studying protein nanosheets for cancer immunotherapy. She also studied tumor infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy in Dr. Eduardo Davila’s lab at the University of Colorado Anshutz Medical Campus. After college, she worked in Dr. Chrystal Paulos’s lab as a research specialist, where she studied innovative TIL therapies and how cancer influences the human immune system.
In her free time, Rachel loves outdoor recreation, reading, running, and spending time with her friends.
Areas of Interest
As an MD-PhD student, Rachel is interested in studying cancer immunology and how to translate the potential of immunotherapy to treat solid tumors.
Her interests are in medical oncology, and she looks forward to practicing and pursuing translational research in the future.
