Applications are reviewed holistically: all parts inform one another and reviewers focus on the big picture of the student’s trajectory, opportunities available and pursued, and preparation to embark in medical and graduate training.

Medical School Application Components: Our application process works hand in hand with the School of Medicine’s admission process. MD/PhD applicants must meet the requirements outlined in SOM’s MD Admissions page and the SOM Admissions FAQ in particular for information on:
Graduate School Application Components: The MD/PhD secondary application will solicit information about the applicant's interest in Emory's medical program and doctoral degree(s) of interest.
Those who are invited to an interview will complete the MD interview process, in addition to meeting PhD faculty and recruiters in the program(s) of interest.
Applications are reviewed by MD/PhD-affiliated faculty as well as PhD program faculty. In the case of PhD programs that require the completion of the program's standard PhD application, the candidate will be contacted by the MD/PhD program with follow-up information.
