Biography
Emily is an MD-PhD student from Toronto, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a dual BA and MS in Biology, and a minor in Bioethics. At Penn, she conducted research at the Institute for Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolism investigating the functional contributions and mechanisms of Type 2 Diabetes-associated genetic variants in adipose tissue. She was also a research assistant at Penn’s Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics where she studied the factors that influence patient care and facility ratings in U.S. nursing homes.
Emily has research interests in health services research and health policy analysis.
Emily loves exploring Atlanta's neighborhood pockets, trying new restaurants, and finding hidden gem coffee shops
