Biography
Ben grew up in Fairfield, CT and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Biology and a minor in Anthropology. At WashU, Ben studied the ecology and evolution of mosquitoes as disease vectors under Drs. Katie Westby and Kim Medley. After graduation, Ben spent two years at Yale working in Dr. Shelli Farhadian's lab conducting research on the neurological sequelae of infectious diseases, notably HIV and Long COVID.
As an MD/PhD student, Ben is interested in studying the epigenetic and transcriptional responses of immune cells in various disease contexts.
His current clinical interests are in infectious diseases and hematology and medical oncology..
Outside of academics, he loves reading, trying new restaurants and playing frisbee with friends.
