Biography
A proud child of Vietnamese refugees, Kenny grew up in San Diego before graduating from UC Berkeley in 2022 with a degree in Microbiology. Research-wise, he is interested in studying gut bacteria, particularly how gut bacteria modulate the immune system and metabolism of their hosts. He intends to join the Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis (IMP) or Microbiology and Molecular Genetics (MMG) Graduate Programs. Clinically, he is interested in infectious disease, gastroenterology, and community health. Kenny is a big lover of plants, including both house plants and wild ones.
