Biography
William is an MD-PhD student from Atlanta who graduated from Georgia Tech with a biomedical engineering major. He did research in the Botchwey lab where he worked on exosomes, hydrogels, and tissue regeneration. He also worked with Dr. Steven Wolf to build a device assessing stroke patient rehabilitation. After graduating, William worked at Osaka University for a summer doing photodynamic diagnosis research. He then spent the rest of the year working in Dr. Dimitrios Kapogiannis’ lab at the National Institute on Aging as part of the NIH postbaccalaureate research program focusing on early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease with exosome analysis.
William is interested in tissue engineering and regeneration research. He is clinically interested in orthopedic surgery and plans to combine this with his research interests.
He also loves playing sports (especially baseball, volleyball, and tennis), cooking, and fostering kittens.
