Biography
Jared is originally from Upstate NY. He went to undergrad at Clemson University where he studied biomedical engineering and worked in the lab of Dr. Jeremy Mercuri on regenerative engineering of intervertebral discs. After college, he worked at the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine at Weill Cornell on their patient derived tumor organoid platform working on incorporating synthetic polymer extracellular matrices among other projects.
As an MD/PhD student, Jared is interested in continuing to work broadly on tissue engineering and in-vitro disease modeling. His clinical interests are in oncology of some sort, maybe medical or radiation.
Outside of school, he loves to cook, bake, run, and explore local restaurants, concerts, and more.
