Biography
Julia Ding is an MD/PhD student from Atlanta, Georgia, who received her bachelor’s degree at Yale University as a dual major in Physics and MCDB (Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology). After college, she conducted computational neuroscience research in the laboratory of Dr. Hal Blumenfeld, where shed studied the neural underpinnings of conscious perceptions with applications for epilepsy.
She is currently in the graduate phase of the program in the Biomedical Engineering program at Georgia Tech. She works in the laboratory of Dr. Alex Abramson on developing medical devices for improved drug delivery. Clinically, Julia is interested in interventional radiology and miniminally invasive procedures.
While not in lab or clinic, Julia can be found in the pottery studio, working out, or exploring new restaurants and coffee shops.
