Biography
Lauren Askew is an MD/PhD student in the Biochemistry, Cell, and Developmental Biology (BCDB) PhD program. She is interested in understanding the role of a novel microbiome-generated metabolite on epithelial homeostasis and wound healing within the gastrointestinal tract. She is plan on pursuing a career in Internal Medicine, specializing in Gastroenterology.
