BLS / ACLS Certification Instructions
The Basic Life Support and Advanced Skills certification and test is a two-part evaluation. It incorporates the American Heart Association’s new 2025 guidelines for BLS / ACLS certification. The test is composed of ‘Cognitive’ (part I) and ‘Skills’ (parts II ) sections. The Cognitive portion of the test may be taken via the web and link assigned to the learner from Sim Staff. The skills portion of the test requires the use of adult and infant simulators provided by ExCel Simulation Center and must be taken during a scheduled time (no walk-ins, please). Hands on Skills testing station located in the Simulation Lab Suite B31, and administered only after cognitive portion Part I is completed.
Training and recertification only offered to Medical Students, Residents and Fellows, not offered to Emory Healthcare.
