Researchers from the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine shared their latest discoveries at the 67th annual meeting of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) in Washington D.C., July 27-30, 2025.
During the meeting, Sean Dresser, MS, DABMP, physics operations manager in the Department of Radiation Oncology, was inducted as an AAPM fellow for distinguished contributions to the medical physics community.
Emory faculty, staff and residents were featured in invited and proferred programs and poster sessions, delivering 45 presentations at AAPM 2025 on scientific and clinical innovations as well as aspects of education and professionalism related to medical physics. Xiaofeng Yang, PhD, DABR, helped to organize the meeting as program co-director of the meeting's Multi-Disciplinary Science Track.
