Genevieve Craig joined Dr. Jennifer Felger's laboratory in the Behavioral Immunology Program in the Spring of 2024 as a PhD student. Originally from a small town in eastern Pennsylvania, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Mathematics from Lafayette College in May 2023. She moved to Atlanta that summer to start her Neuroscience PhD at Emory.
Genevieve's research in undergrad ranged from studying echolocation in bats to understanding attentional circuitry and Apoe gene expression in mice. Currently, she is interested in brain mechanisms underlying anxiety and how to use treatments to decrease symptoms of anxiety in patients who have comorbid psychiatric illnesses and chronic low-grade inflammation. In her free time, Genevieve likes to hang out with her cat Margaret, paint and read.
