Dr. Luisa Cervantes Barragan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Emory University School of Medicine.

Charlotte graduated from Ohio State University with a B.S. in Zoology and went on to obtain a M.S. in Marine Biology focused on microbiome. She is the lead specialist and manager of the Cervantes lab.

Madelyn Yaceczko, BS
Research Assistant
Madelyn graduated Georgia Gwinnett College in the summer of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and a certification in international studies. Madelyn joined the Cervantes-Barragan Lab in the Fall of 2019 as a research assistant.

Dormarie E. Rivera Rodriguez, B.S.
Graduate Student
Dormarie graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in Ponce (UPRP) in the summer of 2020 obtaining a B.S. degree in Biomedical Sciences. She is currently a graduate student in the Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis (IMP) program at Emory University and a IMSD Graduate Fellow.

Naomi C. Rodriguez Merino, B.S.
Graduate Student
Naomi graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras in the summer of 2020 obtaining a B.S. degree in Cellular Molecular Biology. She is currently a graduate student in the Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Program and a Centennial Scholar fellow.
