Interview Details
Our program follows recommendations from the Med/Peds Program Directors Association (MPPDA) regarding timing for interview invites. Therefore, we send out our first round of interview invitations on the date recommended by the MPPDA each year.
For the recruitment cycle 2025-2026, interview invitations will go out on or after October 7. Interview invitations will be sent on a rolling basis until December 15 of each year.
Our program follows the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM) and Association for Pediatric Program Director (APPD) recommendations to conduct all interviews virtually. While we recognize virtual recruitment events are a different experience from in-person, we are committed to equity, transparency, and ensuring all applicants have a similar experience. Faculty who participate in the interview process have completed training on strategies to mitigate implicit bias during interviews.
The Emory Med/Peds program engages in values-oriented recruitment, a method that strives to find alignment between resident values and the program’s mission. We are interested in recruiting residents whose interests and experiences forward the mission of our program and whose actions and values meet the needs of the communities we serve. We encourage applicants to reflect on our mission statement and how training in our program might align with their specific goals.
Emory is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.
