2025 Internal Medicine Program Match List
The Department of Medicine is thrilled to introduce the incoming 2024–2025 J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency program interns! This rising class of 53 candidates, will join us to begin their residencies this July.
Match Day is an exciting day in the careers of young physicians, and it represents the culmination of their hard work over four or more years of medical school training.
Our incoming class includes:
- 44 categorical internal medicine track
- Eight primary care track
- One internal medicine/research track
This year, we received more than 4,100 applications for 470 interview spots to recruit a class of highly talented trainees. Our incoming class represents 37 medical schools from 19 states nationwide and Washington, D.C, with five international candidates and nine candidates from Emory University School of Medicine.

The Department of Medicine is thrilled to introduce the incoming 2024-2025 J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency program interns!
This rising class of 58 Internal Medicine Residency candidates will begin their PGY1 year at Emory in July 2024.
The 2024-2025 class includes:

- 49 categorical internal medicine track
- Two combined internal medicine/psychiatry track
- Six primary care track
- One internal medicine/research track
This year, we received more than 4,700 applications for 490 interview spots to recruit a class of highly talented trainees. Our incoming class represents 38 medical schools from 22 states nationwide and Washington, D.C., with one international candidate and five candidates from Emory University School of Medicine.

The Department of Medicine is thrilled to introduce the incoming 2024-2025. Transitional Residency program interns!
This rising class of 33 Transitional Year candidates will begin their PGY1 year at Emory in July 2024.
Our 2024-2025 Transitional class includes:
- Two Transitional Anesthesia Track
- Two Transitional Dermatology Track
- Eleven Transitional Neurology Track
- Two Transitional Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Track
- Two Transitional Radiation Oncology Track
- Eight Transitional Radiology Track
- Six Preliminary Ophthalmology Track
This year, we have four international candidates and seven candidates from Emory University School of Medicine.
