The Interventional Pulmonary (IP) Fellowship Program's Faculty and Affiliate Providers are a diverse team of physicians, nurses, and key administrative personnel committed to the education and development of fellows. This team plays a crucial role in supporting both the fellowship program and patient care within the Clinic, contributing invaluable clinical expertise, teaching, and mentorship. Their collaborative efforts create a dynamic learning environment, ensuring Fellows have the opportunity to excel in their training and clinical practice.
Wissam S. Jaber, MD
Assistant Professor of Medicine
Dr. Jaber completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University. His fellowship training in Pulmonary, Critical Care Medicine, and Interventional Pulmonary was completed at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He held the position of interventional pulmonary director at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2012 to 2015. He joined Emory Healthcare in 2019 after a few years in private practice. He currently serves at Emory University Hospital Midtown and Grady Memorial Hospital where he specializes in interventional pulmonology, pulmonary medicine, and critical care.
Alejandro H. Sardi, MD

Dr. Sardi graduated with honors from medical school in 1998 at the “Los Andes” University School of Medicine in Merida, Venezuela. He completed internal medicine training in the Central University of Venezuela in 2003 and at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 2007. His fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine was completed at Albert Einstein Medical Center in 2010 and in interventional pulmonology at Ohio State University in 2016. He joined Emory St. Joseph's Hospital in 2016, where he directs the Interventional Pulmonary Program.
Matthew Schimmel, MD

Dr. Schimmel completed his internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD in 2017. He then moved to Atlanta and completed his pulmonary and critical care fellowship, as well as an additional year of interventional pulmonary training at Emory University. As of 2021, he remained on as faculty and has joined the Interventional Pulmonary team at Emory University Hospital, Clifton location.
Kelly Daymude, AGACNP-BC, MSN, CCRN

Kelly is an Atlanta native who completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Medical College of Georgia in 2010. She worked as a registered nurse from 2010 to 2019. After beginning at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, she moved to Washington D.C. in 2012 and worked at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Intensive Care. Upon relocating to Atlanta in 2014, she worked as a registered nurse in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit at Emory Midtown before completing her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama Birmingham in 2018. She joined the Interventional Pulmonology team at Emory in 2019 and works primarily at Emory University Hospital Midtown.
Janine Revenig, PA-C, MMSc

Janine completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She received her Master of Medical Science (MMSc) at Mercer University in Atlanta, GA, and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She has previously worked in pulmonary critical care and thoracic oncology. Janine joined the Emory Interventional Pulmonary team in 2019. She works primarily at Emory University Hospital, Clifton location.
Elizabeth Wall, RN, BSN, MSN
Interventional Pulmonary Nurse Navigator
Elizabeth graduated from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA in April of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She began working at Emory Orthopaedics and Spine Hospital in August of 2016 and in August of 2018 transitioned to an RN Navigator role for the Orthopaedic Clinic. During her six years there she obtained her Master’s in Nursing Healthcare Administration from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She joined the Interventional Pulmonary clinic in October 2024 as the RN Navigator.

Darice Tillman has been a dedicated member of the Emory Healthcare team for 24 years, bringing extensive experience and a deep commitment to providing exceptional patient care and operational support. Throughout her tenure at Emory, she has contributed significantly to various departments, working alongside a skilled team to ensure the highest quality of healthcare services.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management, Darice is expanding her expertise to further enhance her ability to drive efficient and effective healthcare delivery. Her passion for continuous learning and dedication to the field of healthcare management is a testament to her commitment to both professional growth and the mission of Emory Healthcare.
Darice continues to play a vital role in advancing the goals of Emory Healthcare and supporting its ongoing success with the Emory Healthcare Interventional Pulmonary program team.
Trang Tran
Administrative Coordinator
Trang completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion at the University of Georgia. She is a certified health education specialist and has participated in program development before joining Emory. She has now become part of the Emory Interventional Pulmonary team, assisting the program with the planning, administration, and management of the program’s overall objective.
