MWCCS is a national observational study of men and women who represent persons living with and without HIV. Since 2013, the Atlanta clinical research site has participated in MWCCS, orginally serving as a WIHS site. In 2019, the men of MACS and women of WIHS were merged to represent MWCCS. MWCCS aims to understand and reduce the impact of chronic health conditions such as heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders which often impact people living with HIV.
Participants are followed with annual and protocol‐driven visits, and may also be invited to participate in intermediate in‐person visits and phone contacts.
Enrollment is now closed.
Community Advisory Boards
Local CAB
The Atlanta Community Advisory Board (CAB) serves as representatives of our participant population, sharing useful insight and collaborating with local study leadership on select participant-facing study components.
National CAB
Select CAB members from each of the 13 clinical research sites come together to make up the National CAB (NCAB). NCAB members' goal are to work together and in collaboration with study leadership to make the study participant experience better.
Meet our NCAB representatives and leanr more about the NCAB.
