Our fearless Emory genetics physician and LSDC medical director, Dr. Paul M. Fernhoff, died unexpectedly on September 19, 2011. This page stands as our small tribute to the great man that he was and the legacy he left us. We remember Dr. Fernhoff for his compassionate care of patients and his innovative approach to the practice of medicine. We also celebrate his delightful sense of humor and his memorable gift of laughter. We invite you to visit and share remembrances at the Paul M. Fernhoff memorial website.
In addition to our memories and our continued work with patients and families affected by genetic conditions, there is an Emory based endowment fund open to further underline and honor the lasting impact of a great man. Our goal is to raise enough money to support a Paul M. Fernhoff endowed physician. The endowment has already supported at least six genetic counseling students with the Paul M. Fernhoff Genetic Counseling Scholarship!
Depending on the amount of money raised, the fund will be used to keep Paul's memory and academic work alive. Our end goal is to fund an endowed professorship in genetics.

Our annual endowment fundraiser event is the Paul M. Fernhoff Memorial Duck Race and Family Fun Day held every September. Come Join Us!
