I chose Family Medicine because of my deep appreciation for the role of primary care in shaping patients' lives and fostering long-lasting, meaningful relationships. We have the unique privilege of caring for individuals across all ages and life stages—even generations within the same family. This continuity allows us to build trust as we become consistent advocates for their health throughout their lives, while being connected to the communities we serve in a very special way.
I was drawn to Emory Family Medicine because it embodies the values that matter most to me. I’m inspired by its strong commitment to diversity and its dedication to creating a warm and supportive environment for both residents and patients. It was clear to me that the faculty are both passionate and committed to education and promoting quality patient care. I also resonate with the program’s focus on caring for underserved populations and advancing health equity. Combined with the opportunity to train in a variety of clinical settings, these qualities create an ideal environment for growth and learning. I am excited to grow in a program that will both challenge and support me, while preparing me to become a thoughtful and skilled family physician.
