Family Medicine is the specialty that best aligns with how I want to practice medicine: broad in scope, rooted in relationships, and centered around trust. I value the continuity it offers, the way it requires both clinical versatility and emotional intelligence, and how it allows physicians to truly advocate for their patients.
I was first introduced to Family Medicine during my training at the American University of Beirut, where I cared for patients across a range of settings. It quickly became clear that this was the kind of work I wanted to do; I loved every minute of it. That experience laid a strong foundation, and I’m looking to build on it in a program that encourages growth, community engagement and excellence.
Emory stood out to me for its well-rounded approach to training. The program combines strong clinical exposure with a clear commitment to teaching, advocacy, and service—all values I hold close. That impression was only reinforced during the interview, where the program’s culture felt both genuine and intentional.
I’m confident that Emory will challenge and support me in equal measure, helping me become the kind of physician who can think broadly, lead thoughtfully, and stay grounded in patient care.
