My goals and personality lead me to choose Family Medicine. I am a people person who truly believes in humanity, justice and advocacy. I am passionate about creating a better society. It is my hope that my 107-year-old great-grandmother and my 84-year-old grandmother who both grew up in Georgia, who both picked cotton and vegetables here, continue to believe that change is possible. That spirit of hope drives my desire to expand access to care, provide preventative care and build community partnerships. I want patients to feel confident in their understanding and their role in management of their health. I intend to be a strong voice for preventative care, health literacy and marginalized communities. I am excited to continue my training at Emory because it is a pillar in the community and worldwide. I know at Emory Family Medicine I will be equipped to accomplish my goals of providing excellent, compassionate and patient-centered care.
