Throughout medical school, I found myself fascinated by all subjects and appreciated the way they interconnected within the field of medicine. I chose family medicine because it offered the broadest exposure to various medical disciplines, allowing me to continue learning and incorporating all aspects of healthcare. Family medicine also enabled me to be an integral part of the community by helping provide comprehensive care to people of all ages.
Being born and raised in Georgia, I have always admired Emory's reputation for excellence and innovation in healthcare. Training under Emory Healthcare has long been a goal of mine, driven by my desire to be part of the institution's ongoing advancements in medical care. During the interview process, I was struck by the warmth and dedication of the residents, faculty, and program directors. It was evident that everyone involved in the program was deeply committed to providing the best training and shaping compassionate, competent family physicians ready to serve their communities. Additionally, the opportunity to train in Atlanta's diverse population and to work at world-renowned hospitals such as Emory Midtown, Grady, CHOA, and the Emory Dunwoody Clinic was incredibly appealing.
