"I entered residency knowing I would likely become a primary care physician. I appreciated the longstanding relationships that primary care physicians had with their patients, watching them grow and develop through the entire part of their early lives. Though some of my favorite aspects about being a pediatrician are the special moments with children, I have discovered that I really enjoy connecting with parents. A large part of the job is talking with parents and families through their concerns and giving them clear guidance and reassurance. I am particularly passionate about childhood injury prevention and breastfeeding medicine, an interest I intend to explore throughout my career. I appreciate the flexibility and variety of roles that being a primary care physician allows me to have, allowing me to be a healer, advocate, mentor, and educator."
