The dashboards show trends in faculty, staff, postdocs and housestaff headcounts as of August 31st of each corresponding year.
Some notes on how faculty and staff are defined:
- Faculty population
- Employees with Empl Class 0,1,2 or A.
- Includes both full-time and part-time faculty.
- Full-time faculty are defined as faculty with a 1.0 FTE who have a primary faculty appointment at the School of Medicine and/or an affiliation with non-faculty appointing institutes (Emory National Primate Center, Pediatrics Institute, EVP Health Affairs or Ethics Center). Full-time faculty with a temporary appointment are included.
- Includes the school’s faculty at the Emory National Primate Center, Veteran’s Affairs, Division of Animal Resources, Emory + Children’s Pediatrics Institute, Executive Vice President for Health Affairs and Ethics Center.
- Represents the following faculty ranks - Full Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Instructor. Does not include adjunct faculty, PRN, faculty equivalent, visiting titles, emeritus and faculty consultants.
- Staff population
- Includes Emory SOM’s staff, postdocs and house staff.
