Overview
Dr. Meacham is the director of the Fertility Preservation & Reproductive Health Program and the Endocrine Service for the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. She started the Cancer Survivor Program for Aflac in 2001. For over 30 years, her focus has been cancer survivor research, which includes: ovarian and testicular health, cardiovascular health and metabolic syndromes. As part of her research, she was also the site PI for the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study until 2019 when she transitioned this role to Dr. Karen Effinger the current director of the cancer survivor program.
Her current research interests are in reproductive health including: female and male late effects of cancer therapy, reproductive health for patients with sickle cell disease, fertility status assessments and infertility risk communication.
