Annual Courses
Cranial Base Surgery Course “A 360 Degree Perspective Hands-On Workshop"
This comprehensive three-day workshop, led by skull base ENT and neurosurgical experts, covers fundamental concepts in traditional skull base microsurgical approaches, advanced expanded endoscopic techniques, robotic-assisted exoscopic visualization and neuro-imaging for planning and navigation. Participants also engage in discussions about case selection, technical decision-making, complications and management strategies. Hands-on sessions provide participants the opportunity to practice simulated surgical procedures using preserved cadaveric specimens.
Minimally Invasive Parafascicular Surgery Course
This course reviews a more favorable surgical technique for early, minimally invasive removal of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), as described in the recently completed randomized clinical trial, ENRICH. The course emphasizes on fascicular anatomy, navigated trans-sulcal access, and minimally invasive ICH and tumor management.
Rhinology Resident Course
The annual Rhinology Course for Otolaryngology residents features comprehensive hands-on training through 10 cadaveric dissection stations, focusing on endoscopic surgical techniques. Residents gain experience in functional endoscopic sinus surgery and skull base procedures, covering both median and paramedian approaches. This training session allows participants to develop critical technical skills while reinforcing their understanding of relevant anatomical structures, preparing them for complex clinical scenarios.
